Seesaw

What is Seesaw?

Seesaw is a secure online platform for student engagement. Teachers can empower students to create, reflect, share, and collaborate. Students “show what they know” using photos, videos, drawings, text, PDFs, and links. It’s simple to get student work in one place and nothing is shared without teacher approval.

All students are given an individual login code to share any home learning which is competed at home. This can be pictures, writing or videos created in other app. Whatever learning your child is doing at home, Seesaw allows them to share this with their teacher.

Normally we have a class journal where children share their work with the whole class; however whilst we are learning from home, only your child and their teacher will be able to see the work shared and it will not be made public to others in class. All children have been set up with an account so if you need your seesaw code, please contact the school and a code will be sent to you later that day.

Below, you will find a link to a video by Mr P ICT who will explain just what Seesaw is and how to get set up and use it effectively at home. You will see that it is very simple and after a little bit of practice the children will have no problems using this.
