Meet the HIARC

  • Mrs Susan Fraser

    HIARC Teacher

Hello, my name is Mrs Sue Fraser and I have been working as a Teacher of the Deaf in the HIARC at Broadwood Primary School for five years. Earlier in my career I have worked in a School for the Deaf, as a mainstream class teacher and in two other mainstream provisions for hearing impaired children in different areas of the country.
I thoroughly enjoy coming to work each day as this is such a happy school and as a community it is very inclusive for our hearing impaired children. When I am not at school I enjoy travelling, singing in a choir and spending time with my family.

  • Mrs Kirsten Binns

    HIARC Teacher

My name is Kirsten Binns and I have been working as a Teacher of the Deaf in the HIARC at Broadwood School since 2012. I feel very fortunate to work in such a lovely, friendly school with such inspirational staff and children. Before re-training to teach Hearing Impaired children I worked as a mainstream class teacher for 12 years. Out of school I enjoy spending time with my own children and love gardening and cooking.
